The BioLife Mech Duo-Density Polyester/Carbon Cartridge is the third and final step in mechanically scrubbing the passing water flow. The Duo-Density polyester pad removes any fine solid wastes that escape Stage 1 and 2. Following the final step in mechanical filtration, the carbon granules within adsorb liquified wastes, medications or dyes into the huge internal carbon matrix. The efficient combination of micro and macro pores adsorbs all sizes of liquified wastes and gaseous impurities in the water stream before they can reach the "Dry" Chamber.
